Hello everyone.. hope you are all doing fine..
Summer has started and colored eyeliners will be in rage now. I thought of sharing colored eyeliners I own with you guys. There are times I get bored of black kajal but nothing is appealing than black kajal with Indian outfits. For a twist I use colored eyeliners with black eyeliner or kajal. They bring color to our eyes which could match our outfits. I always pair them with neutral lip colors. One thing to always remember is to use same color eye shadow on top of these eyeliner because of their creamy texture. They might melt because of summer. I own three color eyeliners and we will see about each other in detail.
Faces Brown Shimmer Kajal
This was the first color eyeliner I own when I started experimenting with makeup in the beginning. In the beginning I was hesitant to use other color eyeliners so I went for something that’s subtle and different. Even good for brown Smokey eyes and forms a good base for any eye makeup. Brown eyeliner without shimmer is always in my bucket list. Its super creamy and pigmented.
Classic brown color with brown coppery sparkle which is not dense otherwise it could cover the brown color itself. Easy to use and needs frequent sharpening as the formula is creamy and glides like butter on the eyelids. It could be used in the waterline as well but it did not pop up because of my dark circles. I generally do not use much makeup on daily basis and never mind if my dark circles are peeping out coz I am a hot mess mom. So if you use concealer to cover up the dark circles then you can go for this eyeliner. Also it is so creamy so I had to set my oily eyelids with compact powder. It can smudge easily and it can be removed easily as well. It has less staying power out of three eyeliners I own. I actually apply this on my eyelids on top of black eyeliner, it is the new look I came up with after experimenting and I love this look.
Blue Heaven Blue Kajal
I wanted to try something from budget so went ahead and bought kajal from Blue Heaven. I was really surprised by the pigmentation this kajal gave in one swipe. The color is royal blue which is not too bright, I couldn’t stop using this one. It has Decent pigmentation and staying power. It is not too creamy nor too hard it has the right consistency. The color pops well on my eyelids and on my waterline. And because its less creamy. It was difficult for me to glide on my eyelids. After warming up it glides well on my eyelids. It is not smudge proof but if you are very conscious and don’t smudge your eyes frequently you wouldn’t have problem with this eyeliner.
I personally very conscious about my makeup and I try my best to stop any smudge from happening. It lasts for 5 to 6 hours which means it has decent staying power. I usually use this as my eyeliner rather than using it on my waterline.
But for occasions I wear this eyeliner on my waterline pairing it up with black liquid eyeliner on my eyelids. I was wearing this on my waterline in one evening which had serious humid weather and it doesn’t seem to move or smudge. I was quite surprised by the staying power even though it is a budget eyeliner.
Lakme Eyeconic Kajal – Emerald Green.
This eyeliner doesn’t need introduction at all because it is already a hit among beauty bloggers for its pigmentation and colors. Emerald green with mild green sparkle which pops well on the eyes. It is quite creamy and glides well on the eyelids without any discomfort. It comes in a retractable packaging which avoids product wastage so it definitely scores point in the packaging. Its definitely has creamy consistency, the finely milled glitter is perfectly mixed with the color. I did not feel any dragging when I used this on my eyelids and waterline. The color lasted for quite a long time and did not smudge from my eyes.
Before using any of these product make sure you set your eyelids with loose powder prior usage for the color to last long. If the humidity is more, then also set the color with loose eyeshadow powder on the eyelids and waterline.
