Let get into the topic now. I cannot deny that lip balm is one of the essential in every women’s vanity pouch. It moisturizes your lips for hours and gives a slight tint.
Maybelline New York baby lips lip balm was one of my favourite lip balm range of all time. Recently Maybelline launched 4 new limited edition shades Alia loves New york in India. I have the shade Manhattan Mauve and was using the lip balm for couple of weeks. So here I am to share my thoughts about the lip balm.

Packaging

Comes in a outer packaging made of thin card board paper like previous Maybelline lip balms. Has quirky designs and doodle all over the outer packaging.

The lip balm comes in a twist up tube form with a silver color body and the cap and the bottom color coded in pink color. The shade name is written on the side to easily spot the difference.

Consistency

It is very lightweight on the lips and very creamy. The texture quite thick since it carries a lot of pigments for a lip balm

Smell

It has fruity smell which is a little strong and it lingers for few minutes after application.

Shade

Manhattan mauve is a true sheer pink shade which will suit most of the Indian skin tones.

My experience

First of all I liked the packaging and the formula is even better as it is okay to expect from Maybelline. It has decent pigmentation in one swipe, you can increase the pigmentation with one or two swipes. It does hide pigmented lips in three swipes. After wearing off it leaves a bright pink tint. The moisture wears off 4 hours after application if you have dry chapped lips then moisture will wear off sooner.

High pigmentation for a lip balm.
Nice shade range to suit indian skin tones.
Has SPF 20.

Cons

If you are not a fan of strong fruity smell then you can pass.
