Red lipsticks are classic and will transform your look in minutes. I still remember the first day I wore my first red lipstick when I was in my 12th grade. I felt conscious when someone was looking at me because that was my first time wearing a bright red lipstick. Now it is a different story, I enjoy wearing red lipstick as any other lipstick.

Colorbar velvet matte lipstick are quite popular among bloggers and most of the bloggers own atleast 4 to 5 colors from the range. It is one of the popular affordable matte range lipsticks in India.



Price 325 INR for 4.2g of product.

Packaging

Lipstick comes in a silver tube with classic twist up packaging and with a transparent lid. The lid shuts down tightly and is very appropriate for travelling. The color code is given at the bottom of the lipstick for reference.



Color

The shade name is All fired up which is a bright red color with blue undertones. This is a proper red for summer/ spring and will suit most of the skin tones.



Formula

I would say Colorbar Velvet matte lipstick is a satin matte finish lipstick and not a proper matte lipstick. It has shiny finish and it is possible to tone down the shine with some translucent powder above the lipstick.  The lipstick is densely pigmented and I was surprised about the pigments in the lipstick considering the affordable price of the lipstick.

My experience



The lipstick was comfortable on my lips even though it is a matte finish lipstick.  It is a satin or a semi matte lipstick and not a complete matte finish lipstick. It stays on my lips for about 3 to 4 hours without budging or bleeding. It stains my lips and the stain stays on my lips for good 4 hours.

Pros

Affordable.
Travel friendly.
Pigmented.
Pretty long lasting.

Cons

Not a complete matte lipstick.
