I am back with another article related to one of the common problems faced by everyone. One of the pesky things we get if we did not sleep well is dark circles under eyes. They make our face look dull and shows premature aging skin. It is causes because fluids gather under our eyes due to gravity and also due to harmful effects from sun exposure. The blood vessels under eyes dilate and leaves a dark color under eyes which is not a good sight. There are few causes of dark under eye circles.

• Genetics
• Unhealthy food habits – too much salt
• Not getting enough sleep
• Sun exposure without protection
• Not drinking enough water
• Unhealthy stressed lifestyle
• Excessive eye rubbing
All these factors lead to under eye circles and eye bags on our face.
There are few methods you follow to prevent them. As under eye circles caused by genetics are hard to control here are the few steps to keep in mind to prevent them.
• Always remember to sleep on your back, it is the healthiest position for sleeping. The fluids gather under eyes when you sleep on your side leading to dark under eyes.
• Get enough sleep always, it is the cheap amd best way to get rid of these pesky dark under eye circles.
• Manage your stress by leading a healthy lifestyle as health is the most important wealth you can ever own.
• Cool your eyes down, when you are outside in the burning sun or more exposed to computer screens take time and relax your eyes for few minutes by closing them. You can use cut cucumber or tomato which has cooling properties for your eyes. You can keep them on your eye lids when your eyes are closed.
• Always be gentle with your makeup remover. Use oil infused makeup remover for eyes or you could use coconut or olive oil to remove makeup around to your eyes. Oil cleansing easily removes makeup around your eyes so that you don’t need to put much pressure around your eyes.
• Cut down salt from your diet. Having excessive salt will dehydrate your body especially around your eyes causing puffiness and dark circles.
• Always drink atleast 8 glasses of water per day to keep yourself hydrated. Drinking water flushes out toxins from your body. Therefore the toxins will be carried away because of proper blood circulation as drinking water increases blood circulation.
• Include Vitamin C foods and Vitamin C supplements in your diet. It helps building skin collagen and helps lighten the dark circles overtime.
You can follow some natural home remedies to get rid of them.
• Sliced cucumber, potato and tomato are the vegetables you can use them to brighten your eyes naturally. By keeping one of the thin sliced vegetable on your closed eyes will help cool your eyes and also brighten those dark circles.
• Use green tea bags to remove puffy eyes, these have anti oxidant properties which will help brighten the area around the eyes.
• You can also use coconut , olive or sweet almond oil under your eyes to reduce dark circles.
• Use essential oils like rosehip oil and frankesskine oil to help in reducing dark under eye circles.
