Hello beauties,
Hope you are all doing well. sorry I could not be consistent with my articles in my blog.
I am back with an interesting useful topic which I hope each Indian girl would like. One thing we cannot live without is Indian ethnic kurti or chudidhar. One of the comfortable wardrobe staple worn by Indian women across ages.
Indian kurtis are the reflection of our rich Indian culture. Hence if you need an Indian capsule wardrobe it is quite difficult to choose among different colors, fabrics and designs. I explored into many fabrics, prints and designs across the country. It was intoxicating as each and every piece reflects the rich Indian culture. If you really want to expand your kurti step by step this post will be helpful for you.
If you ask me, I would include all the kurtis from all the colors, designs and fabrics. But we are here to decode Indian kurti according to work, college and functions. However the wardrobe collection may vary person to person according to their wishes. Here I have listed my very own list which I personally prefer with examples.
White plain kurti
You cannot go wrong with this white kurti which could be styled with palazzo pants, jeans or a leggings. And it easily compliments rich deep colors like red, green and blue. I would suggest white chikankari kurti which has intricate self embroidery all over. Perfect for work or college when paired with deep colour dupattas.

Black plain kurti

One of the versatile colors and also suits every Indian skin. It is better to have two of them instead of one. One should be in cotton, other should be in rayon or polyester. Goes well with almost all color leggings and dupattas. Going full black kurti and black bottom is my favourite with a color pop of red or orange.
This can depend on your own likes and dislikes. If you are a plain kurti person like me then go for a front slit plain kurti or a red plain kurti. Fabric will also be your choice according to the weather you are living in. I have three plain kurti in my collection as I love them when paired with colorful dupattas. I would suggest red, pink, green or purple plain kurti with minimal embellishments will be good.
Indigo

The fabric and kurti style depends on your comfort and likes. They are versatile and can be worn as ethnic or indo western fusion as per your wish.

People who need some prints and designs in their kurti can opt for these kurtis you can go for bandhani print or any other catchy print kurtis. Floral print kurtis can also be considered. Keeping few edgy prints in your wardrobe will reflect your personality and your inner soul well. Again fabric concern can really depend on your own comfort.
Chanderi or embellished kurti

Beige or any neutral color will be good for chanderi silk kurti which will go along bright color dupattas amd bottoms. You can also go for embellished or gold embroidery kurti for that luxury look. It will be best to pair them up with a gold printed embellished skirt. Again if you are a color person go for some bright colors and pair them with neutral bottoms and dupattas.

Shirt kurti can be worn alone or can be layered in the winters for the edgy look. I recommend blue or red shirt style kurti to layer on any plain kurti to compliment the base kurti color.

These were quite a trend among college girls which is mostly multi color and can be paired with many color leggings without any worries. It will be best to go for neutral colors for professional look.
